A major flaw in the Internet’s Domain Name System (DNS) was discovered months ago but kept under wraps as software vendors attempted to patch the issue. Then a computer security company inadvertently published details of the flaw this month, weeks before they were supposed to be made public. The flaw, discovered by researcher Dan Kaminsky, can be exploited to poison DNS caches and re-direct Internet traffic to malicious sites. The U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT) has issued this list of
