Licensing
This Device CAL must be purchased in conjunction with SQL Server 2008 Workgroup - Server License and 5 CALS. This is an additional device CAL. Client Access Licenses (CALs) are required for each device or user that accesses the features and services of Microsoft SQL. Device CALs are likely to be more cost-effective than User CALs if there are multiple users per device (for example, a call center or an airport kiosk). This product does not come with Microsoft's maintenance program, Software Assurance.
