Mobile Device Manager 2008, enabled by Windows Mobile 6.1, is a solution that gives organizations enhanced on-device security and over-the-air policy enforcement. It allows IT Professionals to more easily manage phones within the organization, and gives mobile employees access to confidential information on corporate networks with firewalls.

Licensing: MDM 2008 is licensed on a Server plus Client Access License (CAL) basis. A server license and minimum of 5 CALs is required. A Device CAL permits one device (used by any user) to access or use the software. Device CALs are likely to be more cost-effective than User CALs if there are multiple users per device (for example, a call center or an airport kiosk).
