Microsoft Connected Services Framework (CSF) enables you to create composite XML Web services and then provision and manage those services for your subscribers and customers across multiple networks. It can also help you to manage disparate applications that work together to create, manipulate, share, and distribute digital content.

The Order Handling Standard Business Event (OHSBE) is an order activation, service activation, and provisioning product. It serves as an intermediary application between your order management system and value-added services (VASs) that you want to include in your service or product offerings.

The OHSBE is designed to be part of an XML Web service ecosystem and communicates with VASs for order fulfillment through a CSF Session. OHSBE can interact with your existing order management systems or you can integrate it alongside a new order management system as you develop it. OHSBE is highly extensible. There are numerous configuration items and a set of compiled libraries that enable the OHSBE to dynamically accept any industry-standard XML schema as an order.

OHSBE is made up of five components

• OHSBE Monitor Windows Service
• OHSBE configuration tool
