Adobe is no longer developing or supporting GoLive, the WYSIWYG web authoring tool it created over a decade ago to compete with Macromedia Dreamweaver. With Adobe’s purchase of Macromedia and the fact that Dreamweaver is more apt to produce Web pages using advanced technologies like AJAX, the plug was pulled on GoLive. The Web is moving more towards applications and “Web 2.0″, for which Dreamweaver is the favorite.
