Strengths: I love the new features 7.0 has. The 2 best would be 7.0 and XP

Strengths: I tried Vista when it came out and hated it. Windows 7 is more comparable to XP - in terms that it is self-explanatory and easy to use yet still has really cool features. I love the 'snipping tool' - instead of having to do a 'print screen' and open it up in an editing program to crop, then copy and paste - you can just simply drag the rectangle and hit 'copy' - it's so easy and convenient! The other new feature that i love is that windows snapping feature where you drag the window to the top corner and it will automatically resize it to half the screen so you can have two windows on one screen (cheaper way than having multiple monitors)

Weaknesses: None

Strengths: Install was simple. No hitches or problems with updates either. Am running as a virtual machine in a new Mac Pro using VMWare Fusion v3.1 and seems quite stable. Like the new print dialog on the side of the document. Interface seems a bit more simple than XP.

Weaknesses: Seems like 64 bit programs (like I.E.) should be the default and not have 2 different versions showing up on the app list. Seems fluid but just a little sluggish (could be the fact it's running virtual).

Comments: Purchased to run with VMWare Fusion

Strengths: Great short cuts, easy access to my entire computer, great wallpaper designs, and improved audio/video functions.

Weaknesses: Nothing that I can find so far

Comments: awesome improvement from the prior version.

Strengths: 32 and 64 bit disks included Is not locked to 1 pc like OEM version Includes Remote Desktop Connection

Weaknesses: Microsoft's retail product pricing is difficult to bear

Comments: I've made several purchases from SoftwareMedia and each has been problem free. All products, including this one, were shipped and delivered quickly, and perhaps most importantly, they were all genuine products without activation issues. I will definitely purchase from SoftwareMedia again as I need to.

Strengths: Easy to install and work with. Seems more secure than previous versions.

Weaknesses: I'm not aware of any so far.

Strengths: best OS - was ready to go Apple and give up on MS

Strengths: What can you say about Win7 - it looks like Vista but it sure doesn't crash like Vista! No complaints yet.

Strengths: Installs easily, no issues or questions when setting up a new PC

Comments: Very easy install - no questions or problems what-so-ever.

Strengths: Much improved product over Vista. All appears to work correctly with no hassle installation.

Weaknesses: Should be able to upgrade directly from Ms-Windows XP Pro

Comments: Am extremely please with the product.

Strengths: Item was as stated and in very in condition with product code that worked. Well below the price of other competitors. Received both CDs in a very short period of time.

Strengths: Works out of the box. 32 & 64bit program compatability.

Weaknesses: a little to much overhead/ CPU drag

Billy Answered: The retail version of Windows 7 Pro comes with both 32bit and 64bit. As does Home and Ultimate

Some productivity programs designed for Windows XP, may require you to download Windows XP Mode (requires Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate).
