Office Professional 2010
Write a Review
"Excellent - Best version since XP"
Strengths: New typographical features in Word
Better integration of ribbon interface than in Office 2007
Works smoothly without crashing
Weaknesses: None so far. This is the most stable version of Office I have ever used.
Comments: Microsoft's decision to spend the time and money on exposing the Technical Preview and Beta versions to public scrutiny for almost a year have paid off with a product that has had most of the rough edges fixed before release rather than forcing users to wait for a service pack.
Strengths: Loads faster that 2007
More stable than 2007
More informative that 2007
Weaknesses: Still don't care for the ribbon bar, but have to deal with it
Strengths: easy to use
Weaknesses: None yet
""Professional software, awesome!""
Strengths: Improved features, fast access and share documents from virtually anywhere.
Weaknesses: None so far. I haven't discovered and experienced flaws and unsatisfactory yet on this software.
Comments: A software like a manager acts, an organizer, a dynamic, with effect which connects rolled into one. That's Office Professional 2010. A good one from Microsoft..
"Great product! Recommended*"
Strengths: Faster than the last version
Strengths: Easy to use
Comments: Take a little getting used to, but overall a great product.
Strengths: More Responsive. Additional Features
"BETTER THAN M.S. OFFICE 2007"
Strengths: FASTER, BETTER M.S. OUTLOOK, EASIER TO USE, MORE FRIENDLY
Weaknesses: HAVEN'T FOUND YET
"Smooth and solid version of Office"
Strengths: The best thing about the Office Professional package is the inclusion of Access which doesn't come with the Home or Student versions.
Weaknesses: None so far. Very stable.
Comments: Microsoft doesn't make an Upgrade edition of Office 2010 so you'll need to by a full version even if you had a version of Office 2007. Software Media ships fast and without any problems.
"Everything was as expected."
Strengths: Great Delivery and Product.
Comments: I will purchase from them again.
"Great Product! Better than Off 07"
Strengths: Love the new print feature. One of the most common tasks should have more focus on it. With the automatic print preview on the print tab you can save a lot of trees.
Weaknesses: None that I'm aware of.
Comments: I've used Office since 1997 and this is the best version yet.
Strengths: A great improvement on Office 2003, especially within Excel. Any serious user of Excel that is still on 2003 should upgrade immediately.
Weaknesses: The menu bar is a little different and takes a while to get to, however, after a couple of weeks it's actually quicker.
"amazing suite that works perfectly"
Strengths: Ease of moving data between applications such as Outlook and Onenote or between Access and Excel, etc. Also the ease of creating hyperlinks anywhere and the convenience of macros.
Weaknesses: Can't create and assign your own toolbar button/icons anymore.
Comments: Purchase pro if you have any data to manage at all - Access is worth the additional cost.
"Office 2010 is excellent"
Strengths: Easy to use ribbons compared to Office 2007 with minimal changes. Add-ins for Excel perform a little bit faster in 2010 and VB is also faster execution.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Comments: MS Office Prof 2010 works very well.
Strengths: - Very easy to use (once you get used to it) and install. One Note is an awesome little utility.
Weaknesses: - Don't like the new Access interface.
Comments: A nice package that, once you get used to, is a pleasure to use. Has yet to hiccup.
"Gets better with each release"
Strengths: Faster, Ribbon Controls, No crashes
Weaknesses: Word Formatting is still inconsistent when large documents with pictures are edited.
Strengths: Still a whole lot better than the available open-source applications.
MS Word and Excel alone are worth the price, but you still get Access, PowerPoint and Publisher. Also, there are never any compatibility problems with Windows.
Weaknesses: The price, but only if you only expect to use one of the several applications included. Otherwise, the expense is perfectly justifiable and you certainly get plenty of services for your money.
The out-of-the-box version lacks support for some special formats used by certain open-source word processing applications, but there are patches available that easily fix this problem.
Comments: All in all, MS office is still the best office software package available for basic tasks. Both Word and Excel are far more user-friendly than other word processing and spreadsheet applications currently available on the market. Additionally, there will always be a time when one will need to use at least one of these applications and its always a good thing to have these on your computer.
