Microsoft Data Protection Manager 2010 Standard Management License (ML) through Open Government Licensing

Data Protection Manager 2010 is part of the System Center family of management products from Microsoft. It delivers unified data protection for Windows servers such as SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, Virtualization and file servers – as well as Windows desktops and laptops.

A Data Protection Manager 2010 Server ML Standard is required to provide file level protection, as well System State or Bare Metal Recovery for Windows Server 2008 or 2008 R2 computers. Any native application or virtualization/host-based protection (backing up a SQL Server database for example) requires a Data Protection Manager 2010 Server ML Enterprise.
