Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 (VMM) is a server application in the Microsoft System Center family of products. The enterprise standalone edition consists of the only VMM’s enterprise management license plus the server management license.  This edition also grants Rights to manage an unlimited number of operating system environments (OSEs) on a single physical server. VMM manages a virtualized data center that runs Microsoft Virtual Server, and it provides:

• Consolidation of underutilized physical servers
• Rapid provisioning of new virtual machines
• Wizard-based physical to virtual machine (P2V) conversions
• Wizard-based virtual-to-virtual machine (V2V) conversion of VMware virtual machines
