"I use it for everything."
Strengths: Excel is just a great program, and once you learn how to use it efficiently it can do just about anything. I find myself using it all the time: for more traditional ways to lay out reports for work, to non-conventional uses like planning games at a party. I used it a ton when planning my wedding and each week when I plan the schedule of guides for my mountain biking team. I have a spreadsheet for everything!
Weaknesses: Before 2010 there was no way to use this program online, although the files would still work in other spreadsheet programs like Google Apps. That said, I a) have heard that they are coming out with this for 2010 and b) I have used the Google Spreadsheet online and don't care for it.
